This draft explains what EzzVote collects and why. Have it reviewed against the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) before launch.
What we collect
- From organisers: name, email and the election details you enter.
- From voter registers: the voter ID, name and phone number the organiser uploads.
- When you vote: that your voter ID has voted and when. Your choices are stored in a separate ballot with no link to your voter ID.
- Technical data: IP address for security and abuse prevention.
How we use it
Only to run the election the organiser set up, to stop fraud, and to answer support requests. We do not sell personal data.
Who can see it
The organiser's admins can see the register and who has voted. Nobody can see how an individual voted.
